January 12, 2017 - CourseVision announced today it will be participating once again in the Golf Industry Show in Orlando from February 9th to 9th, 2017.  The company will be based in Syngenta’s Booth #2618. CourseVision will be making its eleventh straight appearance in this the largest show for the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA).  CourseVision has been an Affiliate Member of the GCSAA for the past 15 years.

January 1, 2016 - CourseVision confirmed today it will be exhibiting at the Golf Industry Show in Orlando from February 6th to 11th, 2016.  The company will be based in Syngenta’s Booth #2641. CourseVision Joins Syngenta GreenTrust

March 1, 2015 - CourseVision announced today that it has been selected to be part of the Syngenta GreenTrust program. GreenTrust enables golf course superintendents to accumulate points from their purchase of Syngenta products. These points can then be redeemed for a variety of items from a list of vendors that are part of the program.  CourseVision’s Jeff Ryan stated “This is great news for both us and our potential customers.  This will allow superintendents interested in CourseVision to get a significant discount or potentially completely free mapping of their property.”

The Company Twitter

November 13, 2014 - In a huge marketing breakthrough, CourseVision has finally acquired the rights to the Twitter handle @CourseVision.  By following this account in Twitter, interested parties can now get the latest information on CourseVision.  While many of our customers have been following @jeffryan on Twitter for years, this account will now become a personal account.  Any posts there are the thoughts of Jeff and not the company!

A New Course…..And A New Map

April 14, 2013 - We first met Brad Novotony when he was an Assistant Superintendent at Green Spring Valley Hunt Club in Owings Mills, MD.  Brad made great use of CourseVision on the property and assisted us during the trials of Mobile CourseVision.  During the winter, Brad interviewed for the Superintendent job at Hillendale Country Club in Phoenix, MD.  He was hired by the committee based on his qualifications and we would like to think a little bit because he used his map from GSVHC to show the committee how he would manage the property.  Brad is now getting ready for his first season at Hillendale, has a brand new CourseVision map of the property and was recently featured in the Maryland State Golf Magazine.  Click here to read the article and check out page 65 for Brad’s overview of CourseVision.

 

Donation to the CGA

January 1, 2013 - CourseVision announced today that it had made a donation to the Colorado Golf Association by mapping the association’s 27-hole CommonGround Golf Club.  Jeff Ryan, a partner with the company, said “We are excited to be able to provide our product to the CGA’s flagship facility.  CommonGround is a unique Tom Doak design that was a companion course for the 2012 US Amateur and more importantly is the site of great initiatives around junior golf and caddie/scholar development.” Ed Mate, the Executive Director of the CGA stated “We recently started using CourseVision as a planning tool for our association-owned golf course, CommonGround.  We have already found it to be an incredibly powerful way to communicate with our oversight committee and course management team.  If a picture is worth 1,000 words, CourseVision is priceless!” For an overview of CommonGround’s mission watch this video from NBC’s US Amateur broadcast.

Award Winning Thoughts

GIS 2012 Travel Tips

Painless Professional Pin Sheets

November 4, 2011 - CourseVision announced today that it has released a new feature for its industry leading superintendent’s mapping product called Pin Sheet Plus. “The most consistent communication a superintendent has with golfers/members is the daily pin sheet or hole location sheet,” said Jeff Ryan, a partner with CourseVision. “Unfortunately, not all pin sheets are a positive reflection of the professionalism of the agronomy team and all of them are a tedious part of an otherwise busy day.” Complete release.

GIS 2012

September 21, 2011 - CourseVision confirmed today that it will be exhibiting in booth #1586 at the Golf Industry Show in Vegas from February 29 to March 1, 2012.  The company will be making its sixth straight appearance in this the largest show for the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA).  CourseVision Partner Jeff Ryan stated, “We are anxious - once again - to stand for hours on a concrete floor while everyone else enjoys what Vegas has to offer.  No seriously, for those that stop by our booth in Vegas we will be debuting two new enhancements to what we believe is already the leading mapping product for superintendents.”

 

The Course Calculator

April 10, 2011 - Today CourseVision released a new feature for its base mapping package.  Referred to as The Course Calculator. this new capability enables superintendent’s to easily use their existing detailed measurement data for budgeting and product application.  “For years, we’ve been the leaders in creating highly accurate measurement data for golf courses,” said Jeff Ryan a Partner with CourseVision, “Now we’ve providing the superintendent with a tool to help them turn this data into more accurate planning and implementation of inputs to the property.” Complete release.

January 11, 2011 - CourseVision unveiled a new advertising campaign today called “got map?”.  This campaign debuted on the home page of the re-vamped Golf Course Industry website, will be seen in the new “Fast & Firm” digital newsletter and will be used throughout the company’s Golf Industry Show promotions.  “Let’s face it, we are a small company with a miniature marketing budget,” said Partner Jeff Ryan, “Our hope is that the ad’s simple appearance will cause people to take a closer look and discover how much more than just a map is in CourseVision.  We are constantly told by our new users that CourseVision does so much more than they ever expected.”
