Company History
Founded in 1999, GroundLinkx is the leading provider of software solutions for golf course asset management. The company’s CourseVision™ product enables owners, general managers, boards of directors, superintendents, member committees and management companies to administer and communicate freely about their club’s most important asset — the golf course.
Throughout its history, GroundLinkx has led in the innovative use of technology in the golf industry. Here are a few of our proudest moments:
- The first three dimensional imaging of terrain for a pro golf tournament.
- The earliest computerized application based on a course map to enable sprinkler head control and irrigation systems analysis.
- The industry’s initial software package that was based on a course map used for the logistical planning and operation of a professional golf tournament.
- The first golf course asset management system that combined the power of a Geographic Information System (GIS) with the simplicity of Google Earth™.
- The initial software application designed specifically to assist golf properties in the planning, certification and outreach of their environmental efforts.
- Pioneered the use of Google Earth’s browser based API technology to create interactive “EcoTours” of golf course properties, projects and stewardship efforts.
- The industry’s first complete golf course asset management system available in Adobe System’s™ Portable Document Format (PDF).
Today, GroundLinkx’s products are in use at leading clubs throughout the world to manage their most important asset while being a steward of the environment and at the largest golf tournaments run by the PGA Tour, United States Golf Association (USGA), and European PGA TOUR.
